Favoriting and Deleting AI Assistant Conversations

Keep your AI Assistant Chat History organized: favorite the conversations you want to find again, filter to just your favorites, and delete the ones you no longer need.

What you can do

Every conversation you have with the AI Assistant is saved to your Chat History. You can keep that history organized by favoriting the conversations you want to find again, and deleting the ones you no longer need.

Finding your conversations

Open the AI Assistant to see the Chat History panel. Conversations are listed newest first, by when they were last updated. Each conversation row has a star icon and a ⋮ (More options) menu.

Favoriting a conversation

To favorite or unfavorite a conversation:

  • Click the star icon on the conversation row, or

  • Open the ⋮ More options menu and choose Add to favorites or Remove from favorites.

A filled star means the conversation is favorited. Favorites are saved to your account and stay favorited across sessions.

Viewing only your favorites: The panel's left toolbar has two views — the chat icon shows your full Chat History, and the star icon shows only your favorited conversations. Favoriting doesn't move a conversation to the top of the list — the list stays in most-recent order — so switching to the star (Favorites) view is the fastest way to get back to the conversations that matter to you.

Deleting a conversation

To delete a conversation:

  1. Open the ⋮ More options menu on the conversation row.

  2. Click Delete.

Deleting is permanent. The conversation is removed immediately — there is no undo. Double-check you've selected the right conversation before clicking Delete.

Things to know

  • Favoriting is reversible; deleting is not. You can always unfavorite, but deleting removes the chat from your history.

  • Favoriting doesn't reorder your list. Conversations stay in most-recent order — switch to the Favorites (star) view to see just your starred ones.

  • Deleting a conversation doesn't change your Salesforce org. It only removes the saved chat — your metadata, documentation, and any AI Admin work are unaffected.
