Ticketing prompt library

Prompts for summarizing, creating, updating and assigning tickets from the AI Assistant, and for connecting your team's work to your org's real components.

Written by Engineering Swantide

Once your ticketing system is connected, you can ask the AI Assistant about your tickets and act on them directly in chat. Summarize work, create and update tickets, assign them out, and see what your team is working on without leaving Swantide.

Below are example prompts to get you started. Swap in your own details wherever you see X, Y or Z, such as a project name, a teammate, a ticket number or a Salesforce object.

Before you start: your org needs a connected ticketing system, and you need Ticketing access. If you can view tickets but not create or update them, ask an Owner to update your permissions. See Connecting a Ticketing System to Swantide for setup.

Catch up on the work

  • "Summarize ticket X."

  • "Summarize ticket X, including the decisions made in the comments and what's still open."

  • "What tickets relate to project X?"

  • "What tickets are assigned to Y?"

  • "What's assigned to me, and what should I work on first?"

  • "What is the team working on right now in project X?"

  • "Which tickets in project X haven't been updated in the last two weeks?"

  • "Which tickets in project X are blocked, and who are they waiting on?"

  • "Write my standup from the tickets I worked on yesterday."

Create tickets

  • "Create a ticket to add field X to object Y and assign it to Z."

  • "Create a ticket in project X for Y, with acceptance criteria, and set the priority to high."

  • "Create a bug ticket: users are getting error X when they Y. Include steps to reproduce."

  • "Create a ticket for X and include the Salesforce components it will touch."

  • "Turn these requirements into tickets in project X: [paste requirements]."

  • "Turn the top five findings from this document into tickets in project X."

Update and assign

  • "Move ticket X to In Review."

  • "Add a comment to ticket X that Y."

  • "Set the priority on ticket X to high."

  • "Assign ticket X to Y."

  • "Reassign Y's open tickets in project X to Z. Show me the list first."

  • "Update the description on ticket X to include the components we just discussed."

Connect tickets to your org

  • "What Salesforce components does ticket X touch?"

  • "Before we start ticket X, what in the org could break?"

  • "What tickets have touched object X in the last quarter?"

  • "Why was field X created? Check the tickets for the original request."

  • "Has anyone already requested X?"

Plan and report

  • "Help me plan the next sprint for project X."

  • "Which open tickets in project X look like duplicates?"

  • "Write release notes from the tickets closed in project X since Y."

  • "Write a weekly status update for X from the tickets in project Y."

  • "Summarize the work delivered in project X this quarter for an executive audience."

Tips

  • Be specific. Naming the project, person or ticket keeps results focused.

  • Review before bulk changes. When creating or updating several tickets at once, add "show me the list first."

  • Keep the conversation going. Follow up in the same chat to refine, for example "now assign those to Y."

  • Need the latest? If a ticket just changed, an Owner or Admin can click Sync now under Setup → Integrations.
