Before you can get started with Email Notifications from Flows, you must set up your Process Automation Settings. This setting is related to flows, processes, workflow rules, and approval processes.

When using Process Automation Settings specifically for Salesforce Flows, you would want to first go to Setup > Email > Organization-Wide Email Addresses.

From there, click "Add".

Add a display name for the Automated User. In this example, I just gave it an arbitrary name. Enter the email address of this default Process Automated User. If you're an admin, you can simply add your email address. Finally, set which profiles can use the Default Process Automated User Email Address. In the screenshot below, I selected all profiles.

Once you click "Save," Salesforce will send an email to the address that you set to verify its legitimacy. Proceed to the inbox of that email address and click the verification link.

Once the email has been verified, proceed to Process Automation Settings (Setup > Process Automation > Process Automation Settings).

In the new screen that appears, enter the Default Workflow User. If you are an admin, this can be your user. Finally, enter the email address you just verified into the text box labeled "Automated Process User Email Address".

Click "Save," and there you have it! You are now set for Flows to send email actions. Note that this setting is available for all Process Automation Settings that use the Email Action.
