With this Swantide Workflow, when a Free Text field is populated with a specific string value, automatically create an Opportunity based on your variable inputs.

This workflow is great for those who use Chili Piper as installing Chili Piper comes with a Free Text field called Meeting_Type_CP__c. Leveraging this field, when a specific string value such as Meeting Type CP = "Demo Request" then have Salesforce create an Opportunity on behalf of the Account and Contact.

Benefits:

  • Streamlines the process of creating Opportunities from Booked Meetings on Contacts captured through Chili Piper.

  • Eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing administrative tasks and the risk of errors.

  • Ensures timely and accurate Opportunity creation, enabling prompt follow-up and sales engagement.

Example of this Workflow:

In the example below I selected the following Variables as my inputs:

  • Free Text Field = Meeting Type on Contact

  • Free Text Value = Demo Request

  • Account Type = Prospect - meaning the Account related to the Contact must have the Account Type set to Prospect to create the New Customer Opportunity Type

  • Opportunity Type = When creating the Opportunity, the Opportunity will be created and type set to "New Customer"

  • Stage = When creating the Opportunity, the Opportunity will be created at Stage "Qualification"

  • Close Date = When creating the Opportunity, the Opportunity close date will automatically be set to 60 days from its creation date.

  • Lead Source = When creating the Opportunity, the Opportunity Lead Source will be set to Phone Inquiry

Of course, set these values to whatever works best for your Sales Ops process.

How this will look like in Salesforce:

When Meeting Type equals "Demo Request" on the Contact

And when the Contact's Account Type equals "Prospect"

Then Create a New Opportunity!

Note that the Close Date is set to be 60 days in advance.
