How to provision user accounts with Okta or other IdPs

Before you get started: Reach out to your Customer Success Manager that you'd like to start using Okta or your preferred IdP for user access, please also include the domains that you'd like this to apply to. Then follow the guide below:

Steps to creating the connection:

  1. Navigate to the link that Swantide sends you and click "Get Started"

  2. Next, select your preferred Identify Provider & click "Next"

  3. Create an Application to connect to Swantide following the steps in the screenshot below:

  4. Once you've saved your app, you'll want to copy your Client ID and Client Secret to have ready to configure your connection in the next step.

  5. Configure your connection by inputting the Okta Domain, Client ID, and Client Secret

  6. Assign your access

  7. Test SSO to ensure it is set up successfully.

  8. [Optional] Configure SCIM: If you want SCIM enabled, let your Swantide CSM know and we will work with your team to set this up.

    Note: Okta does not support SCIM on OIDC connections
