Undoing a change

How to revert a component AI Admin updated, and why revert applies to updates rather than newly created components.

Written by Engineering Swantide

If AI Admin updated something and you want the previous version back, you can revert it.

How to revert

  1. Open the task and go to the Deploy phase.

  2. Find the component row showing Deployed.

  3. Open the ⋮ menu beside it and choose View Details.

  4. On the component detail page, choose Revert.

That restores the version of the component that existed before the deploy.

Revert applies to updates, not creations

This is worth knowing before you need it.

If AI Admin updated an existing component, there is a previous version to go back to, so Revert is available.

If AI Admin created something new, there is no earlier version, so there is nothing to revert to. Swantide does not delete components, so a creation you no longer want is removed the same way you would remove anything else in Salesforce.

Why this is safe

AI Admin modifies components in place rather than replacing them, and it performs no delete operations at all. That is what makes reverting an update possible, and it is also why a change made through AI Admin cannot quietly remove work someone else did.

Before you revert

Check the component detail page first. It shows the deployment history and the differences between versions, so you can confirm what the revert will actually put back before you do it.
