This Swantide workflow is designed to update the "Most Recent Campaign" and "Most Recent Campaign Association Date" fields on Lead or Contact records whenever a new Campaign Member is created and linked to them. This workflow serves to effectively track the most recent campaign interaction, providing a clear view of campaign attribution on Leads/Contacts and related records. The process ensures that the latest campaign engagement is always reflected in the Lead or Contact's record, aiding in accurate and up-to-date campaign tracking.

This workflow is also great if you are using Hubspot to create Campaign and Campaign Members

Once deployed in your Salesforce Environment, any time a Lead or Contact is added to a Campaign as a Campaign Member it will update the following fields:

  1. Most Recent Campaign - which is a lookup field that gets updated once the Campaign Member is added so you can access it from the Lead or Contact Record.

  2. Most Recent Campaign Association Date - the date in which the Lead or Contact was added to the campaign.

Lets see this in Action in Salesforce:

Here I have a campaign called "User Conference"

When I add a Lead and/or Contact to this Campaign you can see that these fields get populated on the respected records.

Added the Lead Super Mario to the Campaign

Added the Contact Lauren Boyle to the Campaign

Once that is done, lets check their records:

Super Mario (Lead):

Lauren Boyle (Contact):
