Overview:
With this Swantide Workflow, you can make certain fields required when a Lead Status is updated to a specific value.
This workflow is repeatable, so it can be used multiple times.
For this example, I will deploy this workflow to make the "Website" and "Date Changed to Marketing Nurturing" fields required when the Lead Status is updated to "Marketing Nurturing."
Variable Inputs:
Variable 1: Select the Lead Status value in scope. For this example, I will select "Marketing Nurturing."
Variable 2: Select the fields that cannot be blank when the Lead Status is updated to the selected value. For this example, I have selected "Website" and "Date Changed to Marketing Nurturing" to be required when the Lead Status is updated to "Marketing Nurturing."
Variable 3: Type out the error message you want to display if the Lead Status is updated to the value selected above. This message should be clear to the end user, indicating which fields need to be filled out when the Lead Status is updated to the value chosen in Variable 1.
What this looks in Salesforce:
In this example, I attempted to update the following Lead to Lead Status of "Marketing Nurturing" but got hit with a Validation Rule since both "Website" and "Date Changed to Marketing Nurturing" were not completely filled out.

Reusing this Workflow Template:
As mentioned, this Workflow is a Repeatable workflow so it can be used as many times of your choosing. However, if you want to update a Validation Rule you have already deployed from this workflow, all you need to do is to redeploy the current workflow you deployed instead of creating it as net new.
