How it works

  1. The first step to working with the Admin is to document your Salesforce environment with Swantide. This is essential for Swantide's AI Admin to have awareness of your existing Salesforce environment before making any changes or creating new functionality that should leverage existing functionality

  2. Next, you simply name your task and describe the change or addition that you'd like made in your Salesforce

  3. Swantide's AI Admin automatically generates a technical design document (TDD) from the natural language prompt that you provide, outlining the change(s) to be made, along with a step by step list of each change that

  4. You can provide feedback to the AI Admin as you see fit, then once the TDD looks good, you can approve the individual components and choose to deploy the components to Salesforce.

Example Use Cases

Here's some ideas for tasks you can assign the AI Admin:

  • Design and implement an onboarding process for customers that allows teams to track status and health

  • Consolidate all flows that trigger on Case update to a single flow

  • Update timestamp flows to include additional pick-list values

How to get started

  • Once you confirm that the Salesforce environment that you'd like to use the AI Admin on is documented in Swantide, reach out to support@swantide.com to learn more about getting access to the AI Admin

FAQs

  • How do I know if my Salesforce environment is documented in Swantide? Navigate to the Swantide app, if you have more than one Swantide organization, make sure to toggle to the organization connected to the Salesforce that you'd like to look at (instructions on switching organizations here). In Swantide, click into My Catalog > Documentation. From here, click into a component in your documentation library. In a component, if you see the Business Context and Implementation Details documented with the Swantide AI sparkle icon, your organization is documented. If not, please reach out to support@swantide.com to learn more.

  • Should I use AI Admin in production or sandbox? This is a great question, and we have customers doing both. You'll always be able to approve the AI Admin tasks before actually making any updates or changes to metadata, however if you prefer to develop in a sandbox before pushing anything to production, we'd recommend using the AI Admin in your sandbox.

  • How complex can the tasks be? Really complex - it's pretty awesome! The AI Admin is getting better every day, but even now the Admin can create full objects with many fields, flows, and create whole processes. Check out our example use cases above to get inspired.

  • What happens if it makes a change that I don't want? If you approve and deploy a task that makes an update to existing metadata that you decide you don't want, the AI Admin has the ability to revert back to the previous metadata. For metadata that is created by the Admin, you'll have to delete that on your own.

  • How can I start using the AI Admin? Yay! We're excited you want to start working with your new teammate, check out the How to get started section above to start using!
