The Swantide Opportunity Closing Flow is a Screen Flow that is Invoked from the Opportunity Page Layout via a button called "Close Opportunity".

Note: You must add the Button on to the Page Layout in order for this Flow to work which can be found in this Help Center Article.

When Invoked, it will send the Record ID of the Opportunity to a Screen Flow, where Reps can enter information about the Closing procedure such as if the Opportunity Closed Won or Lost.

If the Opportunity was Closed Won, OOTB, it will then take the rep to enter the following information:

  1. Whats the Total Contract Value of the Opportunity

  2. What is the ARR Amount on the Opportunity

  3. What is the Contract Start Date

  4. What are the Contract Terms in Months

  5. What is the Contract End Date

Once that information is gathered, it will then update the Opportunity in Scope.

If the Opportunity was Closed Lost, OOTB, it will then take the rep to enter the following information:

  1. Loss Reason

  2. Description

Once that information is gathered, it will then update the Opportunity in Scope.

This flow works in tandem with the following Workflow, Enforce Close Opportunity Button. You can deploy it via Swantide here.

The Enforce Close Opportunity Button is a great workflow to use in Validation Rules so that you only need to maintain 1 validation rule on your Opportunity Object when it comes time for Reps to close an Opportunity. For example, if I wanted 10 fields to be required when closing an Opportunity, you can add those fields onto the Screen Flow so that when the Opportunity Closing Flow is invoked, reps can enter in values for those fields rather than creating multiple validation rules for the same process.
